Whether you’re creating a personal blog, an online store, or a business website, making the right choice at the beginning saves you time, money, and stress.

Web Platform: A web platform is the foundation or system used to build and manage a website. It includes tools, software, and services that support your web design, content management, and website functionality.

Kinds of Web Platform: Here are the main categories of web creation platforms;

  • Web Hosting&Domain Providers( e.g., Hostinger, Bluehost, Namecheap, Genhost)
  • Website Builders (e.g., Wix, Squarespace, Webflow)
  • Content Management Systems (CMS) (e.g., WordPress, Joomla)
  • eCommerce Platforms (e.g., Shopify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce)

Choosing is often considered based on the kind of website you wish to create, for instance;

If I want to create a simple Business website that requires business information, a payment system, and fewer multi-task features, I will use WordPress because it will enable me to brand the business to my greatest taste, update information, create a business blog in the future, and much more. 

If I want to create an Online store, I will choose WooCommerce because I am very used to WordPress. WooCommerce is a plugin in WordPress, and it’s very easy to customise, add products, and configure any kind of payment system you need.

If I want to create an Investment, Trading, Online Banking, or Courier Service website, I will look for their respective pre-coded script in Script Marketplaces like Skyroc Digital(We have the best customized scripts). When I buy, I will edit and customize to my brand that is why I will be teaching you a basic knowledge in Coding.

Owing to my experience, Hostinger is my favourite Web hosting & Domain provider because it has the strongest server, easy to navigate, best 24/7 customer service, best payment system and many more. I am loyal to the brand, although they are highly expensive. If you need cheap platforms, you can go for Namecheap or Genhost. They are all good.

3. Branding: Colour Palette and Typography

It includes visual elements (like logos, colors, typography), tone of voice, messaging, and the overall customer experience. A strong brand communicates values, builds trust, and helps clients differentiate from competitors.

To make the process easier, we’ll go over the three main steps to ensure consistent branding when designing a website, they are;

  • Know your target Audience
  • Choose a Colour Palette
  • Choose the Right Typography

A. Know Your Target Audience: 

Your website should speak directly to the people you want to attract. Knowing your audience makes your branding feel relevant because it emotionally connects with them.

How to apply this:

  • Research Demographics: Age, gender, occupation, income level, education, etc.

  • Understand Psychographics: What are their goals, values, pain points, and lifestyle preferences?

  • Tone and Language: Are they formal or casual? Do they respond better to aspirational messaging or down-to-earth honesty?
